What's New?
From the Studio
Spring/Summer 2010
This season it's all about frames.
A friend of mine has a frame shop in Maine (Lakeside
Framing, in Phippsburg) and every time I'm in her shop I
find myself playing with the frames. So, one day I buy a
couple of small, empty ones and bring them back into my
studio. Another day, I'm playing with one of my small
landscapes...and find it fits into one of the
frames...and voila! just like that I'm onto a new
project. This year you can look forward to seeing my new
landscapes displayed in frames, and of course I still
make them so they can be displayed on the classic iron
stands.
I'm also framing beautiful faces with earrings. I've got
a new earring design mixing glass with gold-filled wire,
and they are glassy, regal, and new, new, new. Plus,
I've got that great new dichroic glass that I'm
combining with freshwater pearls for that classy,
contemporary look. And for just plain fun, I'm really
stretching the limits with my flameworked glass bead
earrings. Discs, flowers, spots, drops, long, short,
chic, hip, wonderful, glass earrings that are made to be
worn for every day, and every event, and are really
cool, just like you.
I've got one more new experiment that's still in the
early stages...but in my mind...wow, baby...it's going
to be great!
I look forward to seeing you this summer!
