What's New?
From the Studio
Winter 2010
2010 is off the a wonderful beginning. I've got some
beautiful shows on the schedule and new glass and
materials to work with...it's an artist's dream. I hope
you can come join me at some of these events to see my
what's new, fun, and exciting!
I've just received two new shipments of glass that look
oh so fab. The first I've selected to use to work on
both hanging and table top vases. I've been
experimenting with a new design that blends sheet glass
with murinini and glass enamel. The second shipment is
new dichroic glass. I love the colors. I'm seeing this
glass combined with pearls, and my latest find, coral.
Stay tuned...
Slice-of-Life pendants and earrings are still so
meaningful to make and wear, and I'm working on a new
run for Valentine's day. So far, they are looking
good...just like you!
This year I'll be making more "Erin's Wedding
Earrings." I originally made them last year for a
friend's wedding party. It was fun working with the
bride to design these earrings for her bridesmaids. We
loved the combination of glass, pearls, and silver
swirls. The frosting on the cake, was the bride's and
groom's names, with their special date inscribed on the
back of the earring. I had so much fun making them, that
I showed a few pairs last year, and am now making them
in a rainbow of colors in varying sizes.
Enjoy the season, Gigi.
